The incumbent will drive and develop world-class content that forms one of the core features of our consumer platform, products and experiences that target families with kids. The end goal is to transform our engagement with families globally, through the development of a suite of digital and phygital consumer products that will delight families daily in and beyond our wildlife parks, to fulfil our Planet, People and Performance goals.

Operating within an internal start up, the incumbent is a strategic leader who will lead and drive all aspects of content strategy, conceptualisation, and production to develop content as a key feature in our product ecosystem. As a key senior member of the team, he/she will also be responsible for identifying and executing upon new, exciting and scalable growth opportunities.

Build a World-class Content Ecosystem

The incumbent will drive the creative and story direction to deliver unique and cut-through content for our consumer digital and phygital products, building towards our vision of engaging families globally. This covers editorial content planning in alignment with product vision and goals, original content production across multiple formats, internal partnerships to adapt existing in-house produced content, curate content from external channels and develop external partnerships to scale capabilities in content creation and distribution.

He/she will leverage deep understanding of consumer preferences and trends, coupled with a strong understanding of the edutainment and media landscape, to conceptualise captivating stories and create unique content concepts to achieve desired business goals of growth in subscription, engagement, retention and customer lifetime value.

The individual will work with a small team and agency partners, while rapidly building up internal capabilities coupled with an external ecosystem to deliver a robust and scalable content team / model.

To support nation building, the individual will also work towards developing a platform that supports the digital media professional community, by providing meaningful opportunities and mentorship to co-create and collaborate in content creation, thereby deepening our capabilities while grooming talent for the organisation and the industry.

Be a World-class Storyteller

The incumbent will oversee content initiatives, both internal and external, across multiple platforms and formats, to support business KPIs across awareness, conversion, engagement, retention, and positive customer behaviour. He/she will lead the development of content initiatives in all forms to drive new and current business. This includes partnering internal teams to support go to market efforts through a content strategy, ensuring content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and

user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, point of purchase, mobile, video, print and in-person. He/she should be data-driven and leverage analytics to continually optimise content effectiveness.

The incumbent will build, grow and lead a talented content team, developing the careers and capabilities of all team members. He/she will establish a high performing culture emphasising excellence, experimentation, innovation and growth. In addition, he/she will champion the content vision, motivate and inspire team members, stakeholders and partners to deliver exceptional outcomes, identify, validate and manage collaboration with 3rd party services and resources where required.

Desired Background

  • 12+ years of leadership experience in the media industry, with significant experience in original content development and distribution.
  • Track record of managing the end to end process for content creation, from strategy, planning, production and go to market.
  • Strong understanding of content and media landscape in Singapore and region
  • Demonstrated success in creating omnichannel content and programs with measurable results.
  • Respected leader who has strong experience in building and leading high performing teams.
  • Creative problem solver who can amplify the impact of lean resources.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
