Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) is the holding company of the award-winning attractions Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari, River Safari and Singapore Zoo. WRS is dedicated to the management of world-class leisure attractions that foster conservation and research while educating visitors about animals and their habitats. The Transformation Office team is looking for an Innovation Management Trainee. Transformation Office is the catalytic business partner for ideas generated by business stakeholders and seek potential external collaboration partners.

 

Within that mission, Transformation Group leads several key programs and projects that rely (in part) on effective communication and community management to create impact. You will spend 6months with the Transformation Office to manage and drive innovation programmes. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Research

· Plan and conduct user, partner, and community research.

· Conduct regular technology environmental scan and compile technology trends.

· Harness customer insights to help us deliver new business models and digital innovations, and to build deeper relationships with our customers.

Partners and Start-ups

· Co-create with partners and start-ups to launch innovative solution.

· Engage potential external collaborators and create awareness on Mandai innovation effort.

Innovation Lab, community and culture

· Assist in the conduct of open innovation challenges.

· Analyse the business requirements and establish innovation approach, not limited to technical as well as process improvements.

· Train key stake holders and users, and document innovation journey.

· Ability to support and run workshops training using design thinking methods.

Innovation Strategy

· Develop (internal and external) innovation ecosystem engagement plan

 

The Trainee will have exposure to the following functional areas:

What you’ll learn

· Analyse the business requirements, conduct assessment and develop challenge problem statements

· Application of design-thinking approach to a variety of challenges across WRS

· Organise and conduct open innovation challenges

· Get exposure across various departments by driving customer experience best practices and delivering change management programs

· Senior management exposures

· Understanding of various business functions

· Transformation practices

· Drive campaigns that increase awareness of Innovation across WRS

· Develop connections with innovation ecosystem

· Actively participate and support in workshops

 

Job Requirements:

· Degree in business or engineering

· Curious about people and culture

· Outgoing personality and enjoy engaging with people

· Project management, event or community engagement experience preferred

· Responsible and ability to execute plans with attention to detail

· Ability to work independently as well as part of the team

· Proactive and adaptable

· Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal communication

· Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Photoshop and Powerpoint would be an added advantage
