Job Duties and Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Legal Head of Department, this role will support the legal needs of the operating company, Wildlife Reserves Singapore ("WRS"), the parent company of Singapore Zoological Gardens and The Jurong Bird Park, and the development company, Mandai Park Development Pte Ltd ("MPD"). WRS and MPD are subsidiaries of Mandai Park Holdings Pte Ltd ("Group").

·        Manage the start to end process of contractual agreements, including review, draft, support negotiations and ensure closure of contractual documents with various parties across all of the Group’s work streams, such as procurement, marketing, human resources, park operations, etc.

·        Support vendor and construction tenders from origination, clarification, documentation and award to ensure that documents sufficiently protect the Group’s interests.

·        General advisory and coordination within and between WRS and MPD to achieve business needs.

·        Ensure harmonisation of policies and processes within the Group.

·        Protect intellectual property of the new and existing assets based of existing intellectual property framework. To work closely with the Communications and business teams to achieve this.

·        Resolve potential and actual disputes and provide legal support for crisis management.

·        Ensure compliance with the laws and regulations.

·        Ensure good record keeping of reports and communications.

·        Assist with the Group’s corporate secretarial needs.

·        Coordinate with other functions to ensure smooth running of matters including preparation of agenda, collating agenda item papers, circulating to board members and or from their office, generating minutes and obtaining clearances from internal stakeholders, following up on outstanding matters arising, co-ordinating the meeting presentation, prepare, circulate and co-ordinate signing of resolutions, and ensure timely signing.

·        Ad hoc duties as required including monitoring deadlines for statutory filings and compliance with the Companies Act and applicable regulations.

·        Act as Data Protection Officer.

Job Requirements :

·        Law degree and legal professional qualifications in at least one jurisdiction.

·        Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

·        Possess an analytical and problem-solving mindset.

·        Effective and diplomatic communicator.

·        Solution oriented and seek to work with the business to resolve and close matters.

·        Able to adapt to changing needs to learn and grow with the business.

·        Able to work independently as well as in a team setup
