Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

 

Mandai Wildlife Group advocates for biodiversity, contributes leading wildlife research, develops innovative solutions to promote living sustainably, and collaborates with conservation partners in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

 

The Group provides funding and in-kind support to Mandai Nature for conservation work across Southeast Asia.

 

Mandai Global, an entity that is part of the Group, will establish and operate new lines of business anchored in creating positive outcomes for nature and wildlife.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Drive positive media coverage and external publicity through the development and execution of communications plan to generate excitement and awareness for the Mandai Rejuvenation Project, and support communications for Mandai Wildlife Group.
  • Maintain press office duties for Mandai Rejuvenation Project including drafting of media releases, FAQs, presentations and other publicity materials.
  • Liaise with the different teams across Mandai Wildlife Group to identify and support storytelling efforts, curate content and/or assets for owned and earned channels.
  • Build and cultivate media relations to enhance their understanding and support of the Mandai Rejuvenation Project.
  • Support in issues and crisis management communication, as well as stakeholder communications.
  • Provide consultation on corporate communications guidelines to both internal and external stakeholder.
  • Work closely with relevant government agencies on the communications rollout for the Mandai Rejuvenation Project

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree in Communications
  • At least 6 years (Managers) or 9 years (Senior Managers) of relevant experience in corporate communications and/or public relations.
  • Experience in managing complex narratives with a variety of audiences.
  • Keen understanding of multi-channel media landscape and news cycle with proven success of achieving earned media coverage. Knowledge in regional media landscape a plus.
  • Proven experience in content creation.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, project management and administration
  • Strong writing, speaking and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and detail oriented with ability to document requirements and processes.
  • Personable, with strong interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively with wide variety of individuals.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, able to balance multiple projects and deal with pressure.
  • Experience with mass email tools (such as MailChimp), HTML, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with FinalCut Pro, I Movie or I Photo a plus.
