Role Overview:
As a Content Designer, you will play a pivotal role in curating, creating, and optimizing animal-themed content that enhances user engagement and supports employee well-being. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the content is not only engaging but also aligns with our mission of driving positive change through impactful and ethical storytelling.
This role combines creative content creation with analytical and product management responsibilities, offering you the opportunity to innovate and make a tangible difference in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Management:
· Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the platform’s goals and user needs
· Curate and manage a diverse range of animal-themed media (GIFs, videos, static images) from internal and external sources
· Organize and oversee content assets within the content management system, maintaining a content calendar to ensure a steady flow of high-quality, engaging materials
· Ensure all content aligns with ethical standards and promotes positive animal practices
Content Editing & Innovation:
· Edit curated high-quality photos and videos that resonate with users and deepen their connection with wildlife and nature
· Innovate new content formats, including short-form videos, articles, and interactive experiences, to enhance user engagement
· Conduct research to identify the most effective content for mood enhancement and stress reduction, collaborating with external experts for validation
User Experience & Performance Analysis:
· Analyze user engagement data using analytics tools (e.g., Heap Analytics) to refine and improve content offerings
· Conduct customer interviews and surveys to gather feedback on content effectiveness and implement insights into the content strategy
· Continuously improve content based on performance data to ensure it meets user needs and business objectives
Campaign Development & Collaboration:
· Design and execute conservation-themed campaigns that drive user engagement and support our CSR initiatives
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product managers and developers, to seamlessly integrate content into the platform
· Partner with external photographers, videographers, and conservationists to source and develop high-quality content
Job Requirements:
· 3+ years of experience in visual content design for digital products
· Experience working for early-stage ventures or startups, informing and guiding the early versions of content development within a digital product
· Strong storytelling abilities, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives that engage and inspire audiences
· Familiarity with digital quality standards, including aspect ratios, file formats, and basic audio and color balancing
· Proficiency in visual content creation using design software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects)
· Experience managing content within a DAM like Contentful or similar
· Good to Have: A current portfolio demonstrating ability to conceptualize creative concepts for video, motion graphics and animation
