Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

 

Mandai Wildlife Group advocates for biodiversity, contributes leading wildlife research, develops innovative solutions to promote living sustainably, and collaborates with conservation partners in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

 

The Group provides funding and in-kind support to Mandai Nature for conservation work across Southeast Asia.

This will be achieved through the development of a suite of digital and phygital inter-connected consumer products that will delight families in and beyond our wildlife parks, to fulfil our Planet, People and Performance goals.

 

We are seeking a creative and driven individual with strong track record, expertise and passion in turning complex problems into well-defined solutions. The incumbent will play a lead role in designing experiences for venture initiatives and innovation projects such as Ranger Buddies – a product ecosystem for children aged 4 – 10 years old.  Collaborating closely with various business units and product owners, he/she will be the champion for end users, developing consumer journey maps and facilitating the design thinking process for the various initiatives to elevate touch points based on business priorities and customer needs.

 

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Group Insights & Product Growth this role will undertake the following responsibilities.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Work closely with vendors and stakeholders to design and flesh out the customer experience for users of the Ranger Buddies product ecosystem, testing new concepts and assessing the desirability, feasibility and viability.

·       Drive the multi-year strategy and development of the ecosystem and drive cross-functional alignment and progress across different products.

·       Propose strategic recommendations to board members and senior management.

·       Be a champion for the end users – deeply understand, document, analyse, and synthesise user needs into suggested product priorities, roadmap plans, and detailed specifications.

·       Be the design thinking facilitator for stakeholders and guide various product owners through the design thinking process:

o   Identify and sharpen problem statements

o   Plan research studies by co-creating test plans and participating in customer interviews and synthesis sessions in partnership with the Insights team to ensure that solutions are grounded in customer insights

o   Organise ideation workshops

o   Identify opportunities to develop and implement prototype tests

o   Prototype design solutions for various customer segments and address business priorities

·       Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to understand goals, business requirements and technical constraints.

·       Develop, refine and maintain the customer journey map for end-to-end consumer experience and deep dive into highlighted touchpoints

·       Orchestrate the overall user experience for the product ecosystem (online and offline)

 

Requirements:

·       Min. Degree in design, consumer psychology, technology or related field

·       6+ years of experience in user design or customer experience field

·       Ability to drive long-term strategy and short term product goals

·       Experienced in designing for product ecosystems a plus.

·       Strong skills around cross-functional collaboration, influence and communication; ability to achieve clarity and drive focus in complex and dynamic context

·       Able to synthesise perspectives and clearly articulate ideas through verbal or visual means

·       Familiar with design thinking, user research and prototype testing methodologies

·       Fluent in best practices for user-centred interface and interaction design

·       Proven track record in guiding projects through ideation, prototyping and implementation

·       Adaptable, flexible and willing to grow in an evolving organization and work scope

·       Quick to learn, ready to go, thoughtful yet action-oriented, strong people and technical skills

·       Experience in designing a product with gamification elements a plus.

·       Experience in designing solutions and research testing for children segment a plus
