Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

 

Mandai Wildlife Group advocates for biodiversity, contributes leading wildlife research, develops innovative solutions to promote living sustainably, and collaborates with conservation partners in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

 

The Group provides funding and in-kind support to Mandai Nature for conservation work across Southeast Asia.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To assist in execution of mechanical & engineering related works during various execution phases of the project assigned by the project lead within the organisation.
  • To supervise and monitor the design team during the implementation of project.
  • Responsible for analysis of information, production of design, tender preparation, proposals, and technical report writing.
  • Coordination and quality assurance of designs with other disciplines.
  • Assessment and review of designs prepared by consultants.
  • Liaison with authorities on implementing designs to the development.
  • Assist in the working session with end users to establish the design requirements and monitor consultant’s design to suit accordingly.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum with Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering discipline.
  • At least 4 years of working experience in design roles and design management of commercial, hotel, attraction and infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
  • Must be familiar with codes of practice, relevant design regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
  • Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English.
  • Able to work independently and exercise initiative.
  • A team player and delivery focused working style.
  • Competent in using spreadsheet for design calculations.
  • Meticulous, organised and detail- oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in presentations
